Sad but true...the official fan club, The B-52's UFO, has been discontinued. Sue-52, the fan club coordinator has sent out postcards and letters to all members with the announcement. She doesn't explain her exact reasons for ending the club, but it does mention that Fred is on an indefinite hiatus to pursue solo projects, and the rest of the band is working on a collaboration together under a different name. No release/tour dates have been mentioned at this time. She is currently working on the last newsletter (#10) and it should be out sometime soon. She is also clearing out her stock of merchandise and back issues, so you may want to pick up some things for your collection.
